Introduction
MUMAC Academy is the coffee academy of Gruppo Cimbali, serving as a significant source of knowledge for both coffee enthusiasts and industry professionals. Established in 2014 in Binasco, near Milan, Italy, the academy has trained over 8,000 individuals through a wide range of courses focused on coffee, products, and technology. In partnership with Cabrales, a renowned Argentine coffee company, MUMAC Academy expanded its presence to Mar del Plata, Argentina, aiming to elevate coffee culture and education in South America.

Overview of Responsibilities

As the lead designer and developer for this project, my key responsibilities included:

  • Understanding the Brand Identity: Capturing the essence of MUMAC Academy's commitment to coffee education and its partnership with Cabrales.
  • Designing an Engaging Website: Creating a visually appealing and user-friendly platform that reflects the academy's educational offerings.
  • Developing Responsive Design: Ensuring the website is accessible and functional across various devices, including desktops, tablets, and smartphones.
  • Incorporating Course Information: Showcasing detailed descriptions of available courses, such as Barista Inicial, Filtrados, and Barista Avanzado.
  • Implementing SEO Strategies: Optimizing the website to enhance visibility and attract prospective students interested in coffee education.

Problem to Solve

Despite MUMAC Academy's international reputation, its presence in South America was limited. The challenge was to create a digital platform that would introduce and establish the academy's brand in the region, effectively communicating its mission to educate and inspire coffee professionals and enthusiasts.
